"唐喀”藏语音译，泛指供奉在藏传佛教寺院内的各种佛画.
内容以佛像、佛教故事为主，也有少数历史传说题材.
雍和宫初建于清康熙三十三年（1694年），曾是雍正继位前的府邸。雍正继承皇位后，将其中一半改为黄教上院，一半作为皇帝行宫。但行宫此后遭火焚毁。雍正三年（1725年），把上院改为“行宫”，赐名“雍和”。 乾隆九年（1744年），雍和宫正式改为喇嘛庙，成为清说什么管理全国喇嘛教事务的中心.
