    suzanne vega 被称为“歌坛才女”，早在少女时代，suzanne vega就接触了诗人歌手leanard cohen及早期的bob dyl-an知性音乐，开始对folk rock产生憧憬，并尝试以一支吉它在纽约城的夜总会自弹自唱，以简洁明快的手法演绎自己的作品。 1985年，推出了她的首张同名大碟，其中一首《marlene one the wall》冲上美国流行榜的第21位。 suzanne vega的嗓音清澈透明，歌声温和，并且毫无矫揉造作。在平实的演唱中体现出她的特殊风格。她的前几张专集中偏重民谣风格，她也因此被称为“蓝领摇滚”的代言人。 suzanne vega可谓继joan baez之后最具代表性的美国民谣才女歌女。她令民谣复兴于80年代流行乐坛，直到90年代，suzanne凭籍fold ro-ck以及火热动感的跳舞音乐仍稳座乐坛举足轻重之位。

Corrinne May - shelter
　
     一个在新加坡出生却在异地的美国意外闯出名号，感情丰沛的歌词，曾让许多离乡游子不禁地留下眼泪；她温暖却清澈透明的歌声，抚慰了在都会中早已失去方向的现代人；
她浑然天成的创作才华更感动了民谣之母carole king及超级制作人babyface，她就是corrinne may。在新加坡出生，之后在1996年进入美国波士顿柏克利音乐学院就读，corrinne may在求学期间就曾以优异的创作才华而连续两年获得校内的歌曲创作演唱大赏。毕业后就移居洛杉矶，专职音乐的创作，corri nne除了为当地的电视台做一些连续剧的配乐工作外，也定期在live house中演出为自己累积人气。不过真正让corrinne may在美国发光发亮的，则是参加了由超级制作人babyface及大卫佛斯特发起的网路歌曲创作比赛的活动，并得到了优胜的头衔。

Nikki Cleary (born May 11, 1988 as Brittney Nicole Cleary) is a pop-rock singer. Cleary first hit the pop market with the catchy song “I.M. Me” while still using her given name. Her debut album, Everything I Wished For, was released independently under the Free Falls record label. The album hit #45 on Billboard’s Top Independent Albums chart. When Cleary signed with Jive Records in the summer of 2002, they asked to change her name because they already had a Britney on their roster. Her self-titled album, Nikki Cleary was released in the summer of 2003 with the hit single “1-2-3” making noise on Billboard’s Radio Disney Top 30. She was featured on a Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards record in 2003. Once performed on Nickelodeon’s “All That.” Nikki Cleary also did a version of “Summertime Guys”. Nikki contributed to the Mean Girls motion picture soundtrack with the song “Hated”. The song wasn’t put on her own albums because it had words like “bitch” and “I wish you would choke and die” and it would disrupt her squeaky clean image.
