《寒蝉鸣泣之时》真人电影版将从5月10日开始正式在影院公映，继续延续着其全领域扩张的伟业。作为同人界的代表之一的《寒蝉鸣泣之时》系列是继《月姬》之后有一部直接从同人游戏改编动画、漫画的作品，不过《寒蝉鸣泣之时》系列赶上了新时代的好机遇，其原作游戏脱离了PC这个狭窄平台同时向PS2、DS等载体进军，甚至还突破了真人化的瓶颈。http://img3.pcgames.com.cn/pcgames/0804/30/1060466_pcgames080429higurashi05.jpg
2008年4月28日，《寒蝉鸣泣之时》真人电影版在东京举行了隆重的试映会，就在这真人电影版的“绵流祭”会场上公布了将推出续作的消息，不过续作的制作阵容、放映时间等内容皆未确定。不过根据真人电影版第一部是“鬼隐篇”的内容来推断，第二部的估计将会是“绵流篇”吧……
