这些年英伦吉他音乐较往年有些沉寂，多支非常有才华的乐队都被横行全球的说唱乐压得喘不过气来（比较赞成 ：p）。如今细细回数，只有今年的Coldplay在格莱美给英国人争回了些许颜面。
Snow Patrol便是这些富有才华的乐队之一。曾经和现在非常红的民谣组合Belle&Sebastian同属Jeepstar旗下的Snow Patrol转签了Black Lion/Polydor UK后，曾有不少人担心他们会不会因此被主流音乐同化，而偏离他们淳朴自然的乐风。现在有了答案，虽然他们狂奔在主流唱片公司铺设的大道上，但却没有忘记那远离伦敦曼彻斯特这些大城市的家乡。…………（省略）从家乡小镇走进大城市而始终坚持自己最爱的吉他和旋律，他们不妥协。
《RUN》这首歌曲选自专集《Final Straw》由Chris Lord-Alge担当制作人。他为这张唱片加入了电子乐等时髦的点缀，使得这张唱片更加成熟，更加整体，更加干净。但更重要的是与此同时音乐中也保留了乐队原有的田园气息。无论什么时候，淳朴，吉他和旋律，才是 Snow Patrol 的本质！
